Rodrigo was born here in Punta Arenas, and Sara came to Chile from the US in 2010. We met while working as hiking guides in Chilean Patagonia. We were renting a historical but delapitated house built in the late 1800´s that had once belonged to Rodrigo´s great-grandparents. We had what seemed like a crazy dream of restoring it and turning it into an inn or B&B. Long story short, we moved in and out of this same house three times before finally being able to become its owners and start repairs at the end of 2019. Both of us actively participated in the design and construction, frequently stepping way out of our comfort zones and learning lots of new things during this adventure.

Challenges we took on included: bricklaying, welding, woodworking, using power tools, making furniture, painting, staining, ceramics, mosaics, and moving LOTS of heavy stuff!

We planned every detail in order to provide you with a comfortable and pleasant stay so that you´ll have wonderful memories of Punta Arenas. We know that when you visit, you´ll also fall in love with its authentic personality and style, reflecting its historical heritage, handcrafted furniture and decor (made by us!), and experience the spirit of this faraway region at the end of the world.

That our guests experience the spirit and soul of our region, and that they fall in love with our landscapes, nature, history, culture, and traditions. That through sensations and feelings such as the love for a place, they will feel motivated and inspired to take care of and preserve it—not only here in Patagonia, but also their own land and heritage, and any place or culture in the world where they find themselves.

Our Values

To value and follow the legacy left by Magellanic pioneers who were brave, hardworking, innovative, and self-sufficient people. Adventurers who weren´t afraid to dream of immense goals, and despite having multiple adversities, they forged their destinies and built their dreams, adapting to the extreme conditions at the uttermost part of the world.

Stone house in Croatia, where all but one of Rodrigo´s great-grandparents were from. Stone buildings were typical there, and we incorporated stonework into our restoration process.
